| The Resource Business provides the Micro-Enterprise Pathway to individuals who wish to establish their own enterprise.
The main objective of the Micro-Enterprise Pathway are:
The Resource Business provides a range of supports under this Pathway including advice and assistance in assessing the feasibility of the business idea. Support is also provided in terms of developing the business plan and in sourcing funds for the new venture. The support is provided to Micro-Enterprise Pathway participants on a confidential basis. |

| The Micro-Enterprise Pathway assists the individual to develop the skills necessary to run a business; these skills are provided through group workshops and one-to-one professional mentoring advice. | |||||||||
| The two main workshops provided for participants on the Micro-Enterprise Pathway are as follows:

| Particular focus is placed on assisting high growth, high technology potential firms. Individuals on the Micro-Enterprise Pathway are encouraged to identify work which could be out-sourced from eircom.
Prospective new business ventures established by participants on the Micro-Enterprise Pathway may qualify for funding from the eircom Enterprise Fund Seed Capital. There is also a recognition that new businesses established under the Micro-Enterprise Pathway may offer redeployment opportunities for other eircom employees. |

| Temporary project assignments | |||||||||
| Temporary internal projects are provided to those who have completed the Opportunity Search Programme and who have decided to remain in eircom but who have not yet been successful in obtaining a new position within the company. | |||||||||
