| Opportunity Search Programme | |||||||||
| The Opportunity Search Programme is aimed at employees whose job in eircom is no longer required and who wish to transfer to another part of the company. The programme offers employees the opportunity to develop the skills and confidence to deal with change and to compete for new jobs within eircom.
The Opportunity Search Programme is delivered nationwide in the Opportunity Centres operated by the Resource Business. |

| The following topics are covered on the programme:
The European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) and computer practice is also a core element of the programme. Other computer training is available to those that who already have the ECDL qualification. |

| Additionally, participants on the Opportunity Search Programme receive presentations from managers in the various eircom business units on new job openings. | |||||||||
| External Employment Pathway | |||||||||
| The External Employment Pathway is directed at employees who wish to leave eircom. It provides them with support in terms of job/career assessment, CV preparation, developing interview skills and techniques and job placement.
The objective of the External Employment Pathway is to give employees information on what they would like to do with their careers and to explore career options outside of the company. The Resource Business provides External Employment Pathways on a one-to-one basis and through group sessions. |
